A close friend has been invited to help cull some wild boar on a pecan farm.
He promises to send some to me - I'm hoping for some butt.
Can you imagine how good that must be?
I hope to update this post soon ...

Jupiter is growing a new red spot and the Hubble Space Telescope is photographing the scene. Backyard astronomers have been following the action, too.
"Red Spot Jr." as it is being called, formed after three white oval-shaped storms—two of which were at least 90 years old—merged between 1998 and 2000.
A similar merger took place centuries ago and formed the bigger and legendary Great Red Spot, a storm twice as big as Earth and almost 300 years old.
Little is known about how storms form on the giant planet. They are often described as behaving similar to hurricanes on Earth. Some astronomers believe that the spots dredge up material deep below Jupiter's clouds and lift it to where the Sun's ultraviolet light chemically alters it to give it a red hue.
The latest images could provide evidence that Jupiter is in the midst of a global change that can modify temperatures by as much as 10 degrees Fahrenheit on different parts of the globe. Link
It's not often that a layman, such as myself, can rip to shreds a bona fide scientific treatise - assuming it might be that in the first place.
Let's start with ... Little is known about how storms form on the giant planet ...
Almost nothing is known about gaseous giant planetoids beyond that they take up a lot of space in relation to Earth. Gravity is humongous. We can't live there and woe be on the casual moon that loses orbital stasis.
It's gas. Jupiter is made of gasses. Now I'll grant you that when you have a body that size, those gasses behave in ways we are only just beginning to understand, but to ascribe our own anthromophological sensibilities to such a grand galactic engine has to be the height of human speciocentricity.
Jupiter is the ultimate convection engine. Of all the planets, it is the best example of all the laws of physics. There it sits, in the middle of our solar system, acting exactly as it should and has been predicted.
We can scrutinize our 'close' neighbors in the Solar system and we can try and define our own existence by the things we find. Earth is in the 'Goldilocks Orbit' of the Sun. And there is the source of it all. The Sun.
Global warming alarmists would like you to forget that the source of all energy throughout our little corner of the Universe is our Sun. When the Sun acts up - the Solar System reacts.
Enough 'energetic' particles pass over our planet every second to power our wildest dreams forever. That star we know as 'Sol,' or simply 'The Sun', expends energy on a scale that defies human comprehension. It is impossible to grasp just how much energy emanates from it. If we could capture all of an hour's worth, in toto, it would power us to infinity.
There's an unstated fact about people who 'believe' in things like 'global warming caused by humans' and people who 'believe' in vegetarianism or people who 'believe' in anything for that matter. Belief can only exist in the absence of knowledge.

An heretofore unknown terrorist group, going by the name of 'Feline Fighters for Allah', or Mejahaqittis, has just issued a statement through its spokesman spokescat - Meowhammed al-Qitti.
To all infidels, decadent dogs of the West and the running rats of the Great Satan ...
Submit to Allah, the most purrrfect or be slaughtered in your sleep. Kneel and bow to HIS purrrfection or suffer fates most horrible. If you value your heads, you will serve sardines five times a day, rid yourselves of the unclean canines and submit to HIS will - or be damned. We, the warriors of HIS wrathful vengeance, will hunt you down like so many cowering mice if you do not heed our words meows.
Spread the word!

Ya know, being a big time blogger and all, I get stuff. I mean I get stuff from every nook and cranny of the old 'blogosphere' (yeah, Bill Quick coined that word). I get stuff so strange and upsetting, that even I, in my good (yeah, right) taste can simply not post as a page load. To do so would invite litigation. Hell, some of the stuff I get would DEMAND litigation and a death sentence. Imagine waking up in the morning, coffee in hand, birds singing outside your window and I post some image which causes you to go into cardiac arrest. I can't afford that kind of insurance. They don't WRITE that kind of insurance. Besides, I don't want your coffee all over the keyboard. So with that in mind, David sent me an image. To say it ain't pretty is putting lipstick on a dead pig. Now I know that you're tempted to look at it. Ask Moze. He knows what happens when you disregard my warnings. I'm warning you, do not, and I mean DO NOT, look at ...
