ROUGH ROAD AHEAD!

  When I turned on the computer this morning I was shocked. I expected fraud on an as yet unknown scale, but I was not prepared for what is already happening a week before the elections. I realized then that the news is going to move so much faster over the next week that my usual format is not up to the task. With that in mind, I decided to alter my postings to better reflect the frenzied pace of what's to come. I decided to surf as I normally do, but instead of saving up links until I have enough for a post, it would be better if I narrow my focus and try to run an item by item commentary as they come to my attention. So, as I surf and find things I'll immediately drop them here with a brief word or two and not bother to create images to suit - unless something screams out and warrants it. This decision forced me to come up with an image to cover all those entries. I spent the better part of the day creating that image. Doing so also let me hide in my thoughts because that intial shock so startled me - if this election collapses into a cesspool of local fraud I don't know what'll happen. I don't think regular citizens will stand for it though it certainly appears like that is exactly what's about to occur. It is going to be a rough road ahead this coming week and probably won't improve for months to come due to litigation and a feeding frenzy of lawsuits from every direction. What this means practically is that this post will remain on top until next Wednesday.

   My friend Jayson, known hereon as 'The Numbers Guy' sent me a heads up email today. As always ... the numbers don't lie. I suggest you find out why. His site is The Political Vice Squad and it is an arsenal of fact. It's the ammunition you need to fight off the moonbats.

Terri Schiavo

   The plight of this woman is a simple enough problem.

   Based on English Common Law, once incapacitated she no longer could provide comfort and companionship to her wedded husband and therefore he was for all intents and purposes ... divorced. Therefore he has no claim on her. And he cannot speak for her. The fact that there are circumstances surrounding her original injury and the subsequent civil awards and his fiduciary responsibility, the care he was to have provided but apparently denied, mitigate further to deny his ability to speak for her.

   That her parents are willing and able to care for her and are her next of kin demands they have that say. That, to my mind is the extent of the legal considerations.

   Now several outside interest groups have taken her plight as a banner for their own purposes. I find this repugnant at best. The right-to-life crowd seeks to further their concepts of the 'sanctity' of life. Mostly on religious grounds totally unrelated to her personal situation. Really, they could not care less about her ... they care only about their cause. On the other side ... well theirs is an even more detached relationship to this case. They seek to defeat the 'other side' and to establish that society holds sway over life. To both sides I say BULLSHIT!!!.

   Now the Congress, ever desirous of face time jumps into the fray and not without some precedent. Sure, there are screams of usurpation of power, but if one was to substitutue 'civil rights' for 'Terri Schiavo' you would be getting replays of the Democratic mantras of the 1950s. Try it for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

  States Rights!!!  Long held traditions of jurisprudence!!! Over stepping the limits of federal power!!! Personally, I didn't buy it then and I ain't buying it now. Every once in a while the 'states' are WRONG and there is no other recourse but to appeal to the federal government ... as distasteful as that may be. This is one of those cases. The law has been used wrongly. The state judiciary is wrong. There is a human/citizen whose rights are at stake here. Terri Schiavo's and her parents. If the husband had a scintilla of humanity he would have deferred many years ago. But has instead denied the staff attending Terri to even take her outside to see the SUN. Now he wants to starve her to death.

   It is clear what the majority of people in this land wish for Terri Schiavo ... and her death would be a victory for a small, cruel and self serving minority that little deserves it. Give this poor woman back to her mother. NOW!!!

Letter to God

    Dear God,

   You don't know me. And for 40 plus years I have disavowed you. I don't care about that.

   But seems to me, you got a job to do and you ain't doing it too good. I know, who the hell am I? It doesnt take a Supreme Being to see how fucked up this Earth has become. Everytime I think we might be getting better ... that notion is destroyed by the malevolence of my 'fellow' man. I just figure you must have been too busy to notice. Consider this your notice.

  Terri Schiavo. Some asshole judge thinks he has the power to take a daughter away from her Mom and Dad. Even though they have been the only love that poor girl has had in 15 years. You must have missed that.

   Jessica Lundsford. Sweetest lil cupcake this side of heaven ... HEAVEN?  Hell, it shown right through her eyes. And then some sick dirty bastard takes her goodness from us like he was taking out the garbage. I guess you missed that too huh?

   Laci and Conner Peterson. A soon to be Mom murdered on the eve of what some say, is YOUR son's birthday. WTF? And then the monster that did it gets to hang out for the next 25 years catching up on his reading. Listen hear Mr Omnipotence ... you are not paying attention.

   What are you waiting for? It's TIME!!!  End it God damn it!!! The experiment failed and it's time to break it down and try again. Admit it ... you blew it. Now ... be done with it!!!.
