    I've started a new category - OPEN ROAD. I love it so. And I miss it so much more. Images like this make my soul sing and my heart hurt just a little. If you have or find an image of the open road that moves you, send it along and we can share. Once I get enough of them- I'll put 'em all together in some fashion. Might make a nice book, don't you think?

Remind me to tell you the story about my idea for a 'road book'.

THAT is the road. That is what I remember it looking like heading south from Farmington. The weather, however, didn't look that nasty, and I was going in the other direction...

When you said that I remembered that stretch.

But the scrub is a little bigger and the road markers are much further apart.

And you are right. if weather gets that ugly on that stretch, the clouds are green.

I have watched every Australia related educational show that I am aware of. Imagine driving a solar car on that Highway and having a tripple trailer truck pass you.
