  Fred Dooley was contacted by the mother of a Racine Unified School District 8th grade student in Wisconsin public schools about an outrageous thing she found in her son's school textbook. Apparently, in this textbook supposedly teaching about literature, one of the books being pushed as a perfect example of that subject is Barack Obama's memoir Dreams from my Father. That's right, a book by a current political candidate for president is being pushed on our children as "literature." It also seems probable from campaign donation records that a principle member of the publishing company is a large Obama donor.

  One would think that focusing on the ideology of a politician currently running for president would be a bit over-the-top even for our extreme left leaning system of education in this country. But there it is anyway. The book even presents a photo of the Senator at a campaign rally with signs advertising his campaign website address to help better indoctrinate the kids. Link

   It gets worse - please read the rest. These people have no shame, nothing is beneath them and our nation is in dire peril. Consider ACORN. If you don't understand that ACORN's action guarantee this election will be decided in the courts - you are not paying attention. And what of all those 'low income' 'minority' voters ACORN is so quick to remind us they've been targeting and registering? For the most part - they are terminally stupid and intellectually unqualified to vote - witness the Howard Stern video below. The Founders prophetically understood the tyranny of the masses. I won't defend their disenfranchisement of non-whites and women, but at the time, neither were likely to be literate. Think about that for a moment. The Founding Fathers did not want illiterates voting and rightly so. Look where that's gotten us today and where it may lead us tomorrow. Obama's inclusion in a literature textbook necessitates the exclusion of some other author. Who could that be? Can you imagine the mental contortions one would need to perform in order to justify that editorial decision? Only a true partisan would be capable of it. The Left screams about the teaching of 'creationism' ...

... yet they create and prostelitize their own religion with Barack Obama as their God. Spread the word!

A book of a given edition is a finished opus.

No matter whom the author may be, the book may be drivel or a true masterpiece. It must be judged on its own merits.

One cannot blame a book because the author is X or Y.

Have you read the book? Or at least some literary critics essays on it? Does the authorship automatically qualify or disqualify the literary value of a writ? Whether the author is alive or dead has no bearing on the merits of a book.

You want Obama to fail in the elections and this is your absolute right.

But this doesn't give you license to forward such junk.

Secondly, the inclusion of this exercise in biographical banality means an author of greater stature and ability was omitted.

I have read several BRITISH reviews and some US ones of Obama's book written when he was 33 years old.

All of them bring forth the exceptional LITERARY value of Obama's book.

When it comes to the World's perception, Obama would mean a questioning of the US policies that have alienated so many countries in recent years.

If Obama wins, most countries will put their ax grinding to a (temporary) halt.

I Mc Cain wins, most countries along the globe will expect an extension the US policies and brace for contention or hostility.

Expect other countries to disentangle themselves from the dollar over time.

Not good for the US.

What's the saying? "If the US gets a cold, the rest of the world gets pneumonia." Well, if we get pneumonia as is likely under Obama, the rest of the world will die. What do you think they'll be saying then?

In any case, the system will operate to maintain status quo and preserve itself, that alone will mitigate any big changes in policy either one wants to make.

It's the currency the rest of the world runs to when there's economic problems because of the sheer size of the US economy. What do you think they'll do if things get worse?
