A Ticking Time Bomb

   By now, you have surely heard about the possible existence of a video of Michelle Obama going off on a racial rant against 'whitey' while in attendance at the now infamous Trinity United Church. Rumor has it that it may be released as soon as 9AM EST this morning. It is also being said that there may be several copies and that even Karl Rove has one and has been secretly screening it at private fundraisers. If such a tape does exist that will be the end of Barack Obama.

   I think Michelle is capable of and even likely to have uttered what is being reputed. She is a very angry woman - it shows more often than not. That she has very little to be angry about, considering the rewards life has blessed her with, magnifies her feelings to the general public. I hope the tape does not exist - I want Obama as the candidate. Clinton's chutzpah of late has earned her far too much begrudging respect from people who have hisorically loathed her and that could be dangerous in November.

   In looking into this matter, I have just finshed reading over 3000 comments on various blogs where this the hot topic. My finding is that most people assume Michelle Obama could say such things. There's very little being said in her support - on the right or left. The conspiracy theorists are positively rabid. But my take on this is different.

   Isn't the fact that most people think she is capable of racist thoughts and stupid or unrestrained enough to voice them in public - at great potential risk - enough to invalidate Barack Obama's candidacy?

   I realize I'm a bit obsessed with this topic, it's because I think it is going to be historically monumental in its import when it goes down and I am quite sure it IS going to go down - just when I can't say. The release of this purported tape will be between an assassination and the Watergate break-in in its importance and as a devoted student and observer of history - especially contemporary history - I am fascinated. I found the latest conjecture HERE. Please understand, I only post the things I find credible and that I am spending a great deal of my time researching this subject - that coupled with being busy with doctors, dentist, VA and lab tests is why I have not posted at my regular volume.

  The link leads to a place where the following is related. The tape will NOT be released until Hillary officially quits the race and Obama is officially the nominee. I have thought about this possibility over the last few days. Especially in conjunction with the theory that holding off until October would be better and more damaging. I realized last night, in my slumber, that releasing it at the precise moment of Obama's annoitment would do the most damage. The Democratic party would have no choice but to dump him. That would cause their most proven base to desert them - blacks. Followed by the hard Left who is supporting Obama and despises Hillary. It would rip the party apart and guarantee a McCain victory.

   To release the tape late in the cycle would cause such a hue and cry the Democratic party could possibly channel all that hate and angst into the voter's booth which would result in a GOP bloodbath. Releasing it earlier is much better. That gives the Dems plenty of time to eat their own and destroy their own party - perhaps for decades. As I said, I think the particulars of the reputed tape have been skewed almost beyond recognition. Much as a rumor winds up meaning something completely different after the ninth or tenth retelling. But I have little doubt there is a tape with Michelle Obama saying some things that will most likely doom her husband's nomination - one way or the other.

   So please be patient, I'll be back to regular posting very soon and until then accept my apologies for the lttle bit I've been able to write.

A transcript means squat. If someone claims a video clip is available, then they should release it. In a game where the race card can be played, it should be possible for the dealer to lose also.

The October Surprise.

I am bginning to see an awful lot of Obama people on the blogs trying to mitigate something they claim doesn't exist.

I think they are trying to gin up the pressure to release it so that whatever is on it can be dealt with over time.

If it came out now, too many people would be convinced it was tampered with or that she has since turned over a new leaf.

But if it comes out when there is no longer sufficient time to address it OR to get Hillary as the nominee - it will guarantee Obama loses.

Personally, the facts of it smell right.

I can picture Michelle Obama sitting in on a meeting with Farrakhan and saying that.

I also believe that the Clintons know of this and will use it to pull the super delegates away from Obama as a last resort.

But that would split the party.

This notion she will wait till next time is bullshit.

She will be almost 66 years old - McCain is 71 and he is being beat up bad for his age.

And she is NOT aging gracefully - she will a hag and no amount of makeup with help.

This country won't elect an old crone.

And Bubba is certain to get into more trouble between now then.

No, she is not playing that game.

It is now or never.

But, it cannot look like she is the one who will release this tape.

They have to force the GOP or some third party to do it.

And if it IS Karl Rove or Fox who has it - they won't bite on that.

That must be making her and Bubba crazy.

I think they are trying to gin up the pressure to release it so that whatever is on it can be dealt with over time.

Assuming that such evidence exists, how does one deal with this over time? Racist remarks don't lose their impact as the days go by. If someone were to refer to Obama with a racial slur today, neither he nor anyone else is going laugh it off in October as a little misstep. They'll play it for all it's worth, just as any video that puts the Obamination in a bad light should be played for all it's worth.

Time to play the Democrats' game. If they're willing to live by the sword, then they shouldn't complain when they begin to receive slash marks to their flesh as the sword is turned against them.

If they can rehabilitate Bill Clinton, Robert Byrd, Marion Berry and Alcee Hastings, they can fix anything if they have enough time.

The American public has a short attention span.

Democrats have a long history of revision.
