Clinton said she wanted to restore America's image abroad.

"People have to root for America," she said. "They have to want to be on our side."

In Iraq, she said, the government must take responsibility for itself and its people.

"I do not think the Iraqis are ready to do what they have to do for themselves yet," she said. "I think it is unacceptable for our troops to be caught in the crossfire of a sectarian civil war while the Iraqi government is on vacation."

Clinton said new tactics have brought some success against insurgents, particularly in Iraq's Anbar province.

"It's working. We're just years too late in changing our tactics," she said. "We can't ever let that happen again. We can't be fighting the last war. We have to keep preparing to fight the new war."

Now if you were trying to follow the logic in that statement and your head didn't snap off at the neck, then you were not paying attention. Who in THE hell would 'root for America' if we pull out of Iraq before it is secure, allowing unimaginable death and carnage to take place? Who would ever choose to ally with a nation which already has a bad reputation for leaving before the job is done and thowing our allies to the dogs in our hasty retreat? We did it in Vietnam, the first Gulf War and Kosovo.

If 'the Iraqis aren't ready' then what in THE hell does she think will happen if we leave? If she imagines anything short of genocide, she is delusional. And THEN she says our newly changed tactics are WORKING but now is the time to leave? Let me say to anyone who is even entertaining the notion of voting for this human weathervane - STOP IT! She is a political hack on an order of magnitude compared to her husband. She makes Bill Clinton look like Diogenes.

Senator Barack Obama's campaign staff released a statement outlining the presidential candidate's position on the continuing embargo of Cuba saying ...

Obama's campaign said Monday that, if elected, the Illinois senator would lift restrictions imposed by the Bush administration and allow Cuban-Americans to visit their relatives more frequently, as well as ease limits on the amount of money they can send to their families.

"Senator Obama feels that the Bush administration has made a humanitarian and a strategic blunder," spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in an e-mail. "His concern is that this has had a profoundly negative impact on the Cuban people, making them more dependent on the Castro regime, thus isolating them from the transformative message carried by Cuban-Americans."

Yeah, that's the ticket, Castro is among the living dead and his brother (no spring chicken either) are both near the end of their reign of totalitarian socialistic tyranny and now, NOW, we should let up on the pressure. Why? What does it gain us or the hundreds of thousands of Cubans who have sought refuge here over the last five decades. Whose lands, businesses, homes and holdings were summarily confiscated and the profits thereof have made Fidel Castro one of the richest men on the planet? This jackass isn't even qualified to be the godamn doorman at a whorehouse, much less the guy with keys to the door of the Whitehouse. He has no clue. The only thing he DOES have is big mouth that's in 4th gear and halfway down the godamn freeway before his brain inserts the ignition key.

Listen, Edwards was good at one thing and one thing only - snowing a bunch of half illiterate jurors with his piano key smile and his faux 'aw shucks' down-home bullshit. If ever there was a more callow, shallow, inconsequential, hypocritical summbitch running for the presidency, I cannot name them. John Edwards makes Dan Quayle look like Abraham Lincoln. It's not enough that he is so very phoney, self-absorbed and hypocritical - he's a godamn dummy to boot. And that's what he needs, too. Somebody to boot his scrawny lily-white ass back to that big house in North Carolina. Immediately.

If any of these people are runnin' this country come 2009, we are in for one hell of a long stretch of bad times. If you think things were messed up when Jimmy the Goober was steerin' this truck, you ain't see nuthin' yet. I am not a religious man, but I would be if I thought prayin' would help keep these loons and losers as far away from Washington DC as possible. But my gut tells me that all the prayin' in the world won't help in this matter. One of these assholes is going to be President. And another one is going to Vice President. Nice mental image that, huh? Oughta churn your insides real good. God help us.

Campaigns are designed for mainstream America. Most people are schooled to the b in ABC. Just like most TV programs are for ignorants.

IN THE END, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IS POTUS.

America is run by a few people that call the shots. Not by the bozos that go back and forth along the aisles of the WH or Congress.

We are on the eve of an escalation since -against the better jugment of many- the VP and others are drumming up a Cavalry charge against Iran.

America is doing to Iran exactly the same things it did to Japan that sparked Japan's retaliation/aggression at Pearl Harbor.

As the WH purports to establish, Iran would have been shipping special armor penetrating roadside bombs to militants in Iraq. A time back, the Adm was accusing Syria of the same deeds.

Folks, armor penetrating shaped charges were invented -he was credited with it- by Adolf Hitler. So it seems that, 65 some years later in our modern Worls, duplicating a stationary hollow charge would be beyond the capacity of Iraqies, an Arab country whose elders invented algebra when Europe was in the Dark Ages. Next time you say it, remember that ZERO (as a math concept) is an arab invention. Damascus steel also.

It doesn't matter who one is.

You cannot win a war against a population that is willing to die, except if you are willing to obliterate that population. Obviously, the Iraqi population, or at least a significant number, is willing to die to prevent the lifelong occupation of Iraq by the US.

Since Iraq did not attack the US, since there was no link berween Saddam and Al Qaeda, even the mis/disinformed American people doesn't feel morally at ease occupying Iraq at this point.

Let's say there are 130 million Us Citizens able to bear arms. None of these is willing to sacrifice his life. To be more honest , almost none.

The US can bomb many countries to oblivion. But the US cannot submit them to its will, unless it can successfully occupy them.

India would love to lose two to three hundred millions. China would gladly get rid of five hundred millions. Thinks of all those that would love to get rid of some of their population.

US bases around the World in a hostile world would suffer the fate of the Shah's of Iran Army.
Dwindling supplies, dwindling moral support, and collapse.
