The Enemy Within

The greatest threat to America after radical Islamic, is the American Civil Liberties Union. They're the termites of the ship of State.

    DENVER - Two people who claim their political views got them kicked out of a hall where President Bush was about to speak filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against three White House officials.

   The lawsuit filed names Greg Jenkins, director of White House travel planning; Steve Atkiss, Jenkins' deputy at the time; and James O'Keefe, the White House's lead advance staffer for the event.

    Leslie Weise and Alex Young of Denver were ejected from the hall in Denver just before Bush was to talk about his plans for Social Security at the March 21, 2005, taxpayer-funded event.

   Weise and Young had arrived in a car with a bumper sticker reading "No blood for oil." They were wearing T-shirts saying "Stop the lies" under their clothes but did not show them. They have said they had no plans to disrupt the event, but Young hoped to ask Bush a question if given the opportunity.

   The lawsuit, filed on their behalf by the Colorado branch of the American Civil Liberties Union, claims they were ejected from the event because they might have been critical of the president.

   "The White House should not be in the business of censoring Americans," said Mark Silverstein, the group's Colorado legal director. "Our clients were removed not because they were disruptive, but because they could `potentially' engage in critical speech." Full story

  And just the other day, A reporter from the Christian Broadcasting Network was physically removed from a 'press conference' held by CAIR, (Council on American-Islamic Relations) to announce that the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) was going to file a lawsuit on behalf of six Muslims who staged a scene prior to a flight on U.S. Airways, in which they did everything they could possibly do to give every impression that they were about to hijack that flight, even going as far as duplicating many of the actions of past hijackers. Their suit claims discrimination and suppression of their freedom of speech. CAIR claims it has every right to bar that network because 'it has repeatedly, in the past, been critical of Muslims and CAIR'. I am NOT going to waste my time searching to find if there are ANY Jewish news organizations allowed into CAIR press conferences. The answer is HELL NO! That the ACLU defends radicals from the extreme Left and Islam is no surprise. That they cannot be bothered to protect the same freedoms for the extreme Right is no surprise. That they can do so with such facility and hypocrisy is no surprise - they ARE lawyers, after all. That the comparison of these two stories will not be found in the mainstream media is no surprise. My only surprise is at the lack of outrage from the American people.

   The Left is the rot in the rigging and the ACLU, the boreworms in the hull of the ship of State. If we are not brought low by enemy broadsides, run aground and plundered by the Third World and their scurvy ilk, we will be certainly sunk by their parasitic consumption.

Here's the write up of the picture. This is where Katherine Ann Porter got the title to the 'first' stream-of-consciousness literary work. (I put 'first' in marks because she may not be the first, but her book put stream-of-consciousness writing into the western canon.)

I know liberalism has been compared to a cancer, and that may be a better comparison than I am going to make,but I have been thinking an the ACLU is AIDS to America. As I understand AIDS it causes the disease fighting cells to not recognise disease. The ACLU stands against people with common sence who would take out a drug dealer,terrorist,or child raipist. Steel,Phoenix thank you for being healthy white cells. I hope America is strong enough to live with AIDS like Magic Johnson. I don't see A cure.

You do see the difference between a public tax payer sponsored event and a private news conference not paid for with tax dollars?

You obviously fail to see the irony of holding a 'press' conference where 'freedom of the press' is non-existent and physically removed when it shows up.

You also fail to grasp that the ACLU has been an organization funded by extortion and the strong arming and shake down of municipalities and as such is a criminal enterprise.

Oh, and it too, funded with 'tax-payer' dollars.

One other fine distinction ...

The actions in Denver were tatically pre-emptive, ie, preventing a possible security risk for POTUS. The man DID say he 'hoped to ask Bush a question'.

MEMO to Paul: You DO NOT walk up to the President of the United States and 'ask a question' - the Secret Service frowns on that.

The actions by CAIR constituted assault and battery.

If you are unable to grasp that both CAIR and the ACLU do not have the best interests of America in mind, that both are undermining everything that made this country great and that the average citizen sees both organizations as threats to their liberty and freedoms and cares not one whit about the politically correct nuance as to the distinction you raise.

I see the difference. I just want to know what the purpose of a 'private news conference' is? The person with the 'news' invites only those he wants to hear the news? Invites only those he knows will report the news the way they want them to report it? Now, if it's a tax-payer sponsored event, I want it not interrupted by would-be troublemakers.

Private news conference: The news will not leave this room.

If the president is involved, no matter the stage, he should be protected from trouble. I'm not talking about feisty questioning - I'm talking about potential trouble. He is owed the safety, the courtesy, and the respect due his office. It is the duty of the sponsors and the Secret Service to ensure all that before the opposite happens. If those two people were really that interested in asking a question, they'd have showed up clean. They were hoping for a scene. They didn't get it and now they're suing. Boo hoo.
