My friend Dan asked me to save some images. He did not have time to tell me why.

I don't have much money, as I am in my 20's and my husband is also out of work and is going to college to try and better our futures. I have been following this site since the NH coverage, and my heart truly goes out to you and your husband. I would like to send you a little money, however being the skeptic that I am can you just tell me why the pictures are dated for March 2000?

Most people don't even change the date stamp on their camera's. I have had a camera for 20 years and just last year I decided it would be a good idea to have the "real" date on my photos. I don't think this is a scam. It's just that a lot of people don't or are not sure how to change the date. My Mom is older than Mary and owns 2 cameras and I can guarantee you even she doesn't have hers set to the correct date. If you go over to Riehl World View he has a link to the USA Today article that verifies the story of Mary and Tom.

THE DATE STAMP ON THE CAMERA IS NOT HOLDING THE INFO WHEN YOU CHANGE BATTERIES. It resets itself to default. If you think I am not for real then I am sorry you feel that way. YOU SHOULD GO TO THE LINKS IN DANS POSTINGS AT RIEHL WORLD VIEW AND SEE THE WRITE UPS IN THE NEWS PAPERS. I HAVE NO REASON TO DO ANYTHING UNETHICAL. Not my style, never has been never will be. Before this happened to me I give to all kinds of orginizations to help folks myself. Samaritans Purse and to a group that was taking old cell phones selling them and raising money for prepaid phone cards for our soldiers in Iraq and the little girl who had a lemonaide stand that raised moeny for cancer and she died later on, and I could go on and on.
THANKS TO ANYONE THAT CAN HELP. I will not be defeated by this overwhelming disaster that has put a large hump in the road. I will overcome it and life will go on.

This is extremely nice of Dan. Dan, I went to your site and linked to all the articles. Thank you for that. The pictures here make me sit back and take stock of my own petty whinings and to dismiss them as utterly meaningless in light of what 'could be'.
I will send a check with that thought in mind and with the hope that Mary can get herself back on her feet soon.

I agree 100% Those pictures knocked me into reality. I've been thru tough times and I know what it's like to be in need. I too am sending Mary some money. Mary, check PayPal tonite. I too, thank Dan for a great website. I feel for Mary and her husband. May God bless you and your husband.
